Château Nenin - owned by Jean-Hubert Delon - is a 32-hectare vineyard in Pomerol. On these vineyards, 70% Merlot is cultivated - the rest Cabernet Franc. Pomerol is a very small growing region in Bordeaux and has a variety of soils, ranging from gravelly sand to heavy clay soils. The clay soil is particularly favourable for the soft Merlot and in combination with the rather racy Cabernet Franc, the two combine to create a velvety composition. The world-famous Château Pétrus wine estate masters this perfectly. Its wines are the most special among the Permier Crus, although an official classification has never been created for Pomerol. Pomerol ist ein sehr kleines Anbaugebiet im Bordeaux und hat eine Bodenvielfalt, die von kiesigem Sand bis zu schweren Tonböden reicht. Der Tonboden ist für den weichen Merlot besonders von Vorteil und in Kompination mit dem eher rassigen Cabernet Franc verbinden sich die beiden zu einer samtigen Komposition. Dies versteht das weltberühmte Weingut Château Pétrus ganz hervorragend zu meistern. Seine Weine sind unter den Permier Crus die ganz besonderen, obwohl für Pomerol nie eine offizielle Klassifikation erstellt wurde.
