Château Beau-Séjour Bécot is a Bordeaux producer in Saint-Émilion with Premier Grand Cru Classé B status based on the 1955 classification. The Grand Vin is, as you would expect here, a Merlot-dominant cuvée, as is the second wine, Petit Bécot (formerly Tournelle de Beau-Séjour Bécot). The 22 hectares (54 acres) of vineyards have an average vine age of around 45 years. Some Merlot vines are more than 70 years old. Around 80 per cent of the plantings are Merlot, around 15 per cent Cabernet Franc and a small proportion Cabernet Sauvignon. The total annual production is around 80,000 bottles. In the winery, 20 to 40 per cent of the fruit is fermented in whole bunches. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks after around four days of cold maceration. The majority of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in barrels and spends around four months on the lees. For the Grand Vin, the majority of the wine matures for 16 to 20 months in French oak barrels before being bottled. A small part is matured in clay amphorae.

Das Château Haut-Marbuzet ist ein angesehenes, langjähriges Weingut Cru Bourgeois mit Sitz in Saint-Estèphe, am sogenannten linken Ufer der Gironde-Mündung, in Bordeaux' nördlicher Region Médoc. Das Weingut produziert einen Rotwein, der hauptsächlich aus Cabernet Sauvignon und Château Beau-Séjour Bécot ist ein Bordeaux-Produzent in Saint-Émilion mit dem Status Premier Grand Cru Classé B auf der Grundlage der Klassifizierung von 1955. Der Grand Vin ist, wie hier nicht anders zu erwarten, eine Merlot-dominante Cuvée, ebenso wie der zweite Wein, Petit Bécot (ehemals Tournelle de Beau-Séjour Bécot). Die 22 Hektar (54 Acres) Weinberge haben ein durchschnittliches Rebalter von etwa 45 Jahren. Einige Merlot-Reben sind mehr als 70 Jahre alt. Rund 80 Prozent der Pflanzungen entfallen auf Merlot, rund 15 Prozent Cabernet Franc und ein kleiner Teil Cabernet Sauvignon. Die jährliche Gesamtproduktion liegt bei rund 80.000 Flaschen. In der Kellerei werden 20 bis 40 Prozent der Früchte in ganzen Trauben vergoren. Die Gärung erfolgt in Edelstahltanks nach etwa vier Tagen Kaltmazeration. Der größte Teil des Weins durchläuft die malolaktische Gärung im Fass und verbringt etwa vier Monate auf der Hefe. Für den Grand Vin reift der größte Teil des Weins 16 bis 20 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern, bevor er in Flaschen abgefüllt wird. Ein kleiner Teil wird in Tonamphoren gereift.Merlot hergestellt wird.
